Ottawa

Ottawa is the capital of Canada. Ottawa is a big city: there are 870,000 (eight hundred and seventy thousand) inhabitants and there are 1.2 (one point two) million inhabitants in its region. Ottawa is the fourth largest metropolitan area in Canada, after Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Business is mainly based on government, tourism, services, education and high-tech industries… for example, 7 million tourists / visitors come to Ottawa every year and there are more than 1500 (one thousand five hundred) advanced technology companies).

Ottawa is ranked sixth in the world for its quality of life because there are very few polluting industries, contrary to other places in the country.

Temperatures can vary: winters are very cold / freezing: temperatures are between -15 (minus fifteen) and – 5 (minus 5)°C. In the summer, temperatures are very hot / warm: they can go up to 35°C.
