Boston is the capital of Massachusetts. It was founded in 1630 (sixteen thirty). It’s the most interesting city in America because it’s a city on the water and it’s also a maritime center and a great seaport (= harbor / harbour)
The capital of New Mexico is Santa Fe, it was founded in 1609. It’s the second oldest city in the USA because there are the ruins (= remains) of a 2000 year-old Indian village around the city. It’s located on a 7000 foot high plateau (= a flat mountain)
