Henry VIII

He was born in 1491 (fourteen ninety-one) and he died in 1547 (fifteen forty-seven). He was the King of England from 1509 (fifteen o nine) till his death. He was the son of Henry VII. He is very famous because he had six wives:

-     First he married Catherine of Aragon. She was the wife of his dead brother Arthur. They had a daughter called Mary I. she was a Catholic and he was a Protestant. He wanted to divorce because she didn’t give him a son but the Pope disagreed. So Henry removed England from Catholicism and established Protestantism.

-     Then he married Anne Boleyn in 1533 (fifteen thirty-three) but she cheated on him so she was executed for adultery. They had a daughter: Elizabeth I.

-     Then he married Jane Seymour but she died giving birth to Edward VI.

-     Then he married a German woman: Anne of Cleves. He didn’t like her because “she looked like a horse!”

-     His 5^th wife was Catherine Howard in 1540 but he had her executed for adultery.

-     He finally married Catherine Parr who survived him…

He was born on August 29th 1958, in Gary, Indiana.

He died on June 25th, 2009, in Los Angeles, California.

He was a dancer, a singer-songwriter and a musician.

He began his career in 1968 with the Jackson 5, the group he made with his brothers.

He had many brothers and sisters: Rebbie , Jackie , Tito,  Jermaine, Latoya , Marlon,  Randy  and Janet. He had two sisters (Latoya and Janet) and six brothers.

He had plastic surgery in the 1980s : he changed the color of his skin, he changed his nose, he changed his hair and he also changed the shape of his eyes.

Amy Winehouse:

She was born on September 14^th 1983, in London.

She died on July 23^rd  2011, in London.

She was English. She was a singer-songwriter

She released her first album, Frank in 2003.

She received the BRIT award for Best British Female Artist in 2007.

She took drugs, she drank alcohol so she went to rehab.

Jimi Hendrix

He was born on November 27th, 1942 and he died on September 18th, 1970. He was American. He was a singer-songwriter. He played the guitar. (He played the guitar in his back, he played with his teeth as well). He was the greatest electric guitarist in musical history.
